Welcome to St.Patrick’s College, a non-fee levying Private Catholic School under the management of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Jaffna.

There are about 1675 students and 69 teachers. The general administration and discipline of the College is under Revd.Fr. M. Jero Selvanayagam, the Vice Rector. The Bursar of the College is Revd.Fr. S. Joe Sunnystan. The Hostel has about 85 students and is under the care of Revd.Fr. A. Poncian OMI.

St. Patrick’s College endeavours to equip its students with the ability to cope with a rapidly changing milieu both as regards the world of work and in the area of social response and responsibility. With this in mind we are committed to encouraging the pursuit of excellence in the intellectual, social, moral and cultural sphere for each of the students. Whilst all are encouraged to seek excellence, such achievement is defined according to the individual capacity of each student. The College endeavours to help each student believe in himself and his worth, develop his possibilities and grow generous and caring in his community and Church.

Less tangible, but an even greater source of pride, is the awareness of many hundreds of Old Boys who have retained their faith and the Christian values shared here and who continue to strive generously – sometimes very successfully – as parents themselves, in business, professions, trades, sport and the arts.
